Warehousing/NBC Specialist

Battelle is a world leader in science and technology research. Our Battelle Fort Worth Texas Operation specializes in providing support to government organizations engaged in Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Defense (NBCD). Battelle is seeking Warehousing/NBC Specialist in the Fort Worth, TX area for full-time, regular shift work on the Navy Consolidated Storage Facility (CSF). This position will initially be temporary with the potential to become permanently hired. Compensation will be between $31,000-$33,000 based on qualifications and experience.

The selected candidate will work at the CSF in Fort Worth Texas. Their Principle duties will include:

- Receipt, inventory and inspection for serviceability of NBC received and shipped.
Inspect, clean, sanitize, test and assemble chemical protective masks.
Select and sort equipment into kits, as directed by the Project Officer.

Additionally, the selected candidate will be expected to assist other staff members in specific areas pertaining to the mission of the CSF, as well as to accept certain administrative functions, as necessary, to ensure smooth functioning of the operation. Domestic travel is anticipated.
REQUIREMENTS


Candidate resumes must demonstrate the following minimum requirements in order to be forwarded for consideration:

- Requires military experience and/or familiarity in chemical protective equipment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel.
Ability to continuously bend, lift, and transport up to 40 pounds during the work shift.
Ability to stand and walk up to 50% of the work shift.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions necessary for job performance.
Medically fit to perform assigned duties.
Operating knowledge of pallet movers and able to pass forklift certification training and licensing.

Additional selection criteria will include the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to work successfully as part of a team.
