Transportation Coordinator

Looking to Join a well established transportation company in the Tacoma area?!

Official title: Road Call Coordinator

Hours of position are:
Friday - Sunday 5pm-5am
Will work 36 hours but be paid for 40!

This position requires you to coordinate repair of any type of company trucking related equipment being serviced or repaired at an outside non-company facility.

You will also be coordinating arrangements for equipment repair by telephone or by the use of Qualcomm computer system to the driver and designated vendor while simultaneously keying data into the system.

Daily activities include coordinating equipment recovery in cases of accidents with employees, recovery vendors and local law enforcement agencies.

It requires the use of wide-ranging knowledge of nationwide geographic locations with the ability to effectively communicate directions to drivers or vendors as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications Required:
One year previous heavy truck mechanical experience with the following systems. Cummins, Detroit and Cat engine systems, Eaton and Fuller Meritor Transmissions, Freightliner, Peterbilt, Volvo and Navist electrical systems, Bendix Sealco air systems.

Certificiate of completion from a licensed trade school.
