Manage core carrier group
All carriers must maintain a 98% service level
Make sure carriers adhere to the dock schedule
Ensure core carriers are within standard in all lanes
Meet with current/prospective carriers
Evaluate prospective carriers and possible fits in core carrier group
Facilitate the development of new processes within the transportation department and it’s employees.
Facilitate DLx and Optimal administration.
Perform various projects/tasks as required by NWNA Logistics Management
Manage employees
Ensure Kronos and attendance cards are up to date
All jobs are being done efficiently and effectively and according to Transport standards
Develop employees
Fill out peer and employee evaluations, and meet with personnel to discuss results
Facilitates open communication between the department and Customer Service by monitoring electronic mail and facilitating solutions when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
College degree, Logistics Preferred
5 + years trasnport experience
