Purpose
Provide second level troubleshooting and support to users reporting problems including software, hardware and peripheral equipment. Coordinate referrals to appropriate technical and service personnel. Oversee the coordination of smaller projects consisting of new systems rollouts, upgrades and moves/adds/changes.

Responsibilities
? Provide second level troubleshooting regarding hardware, peripherals, connectivity and software. Troubleshooting may consist of research resolution and response in accordance with standards.
? Hardware configuration, system imaging and repair. Perform an established quality control process with the release of each piece of equipment.
? Coordinate projects consisting of new system rollouts, upgrades and moves/adds changes. Create and maintain documentation and databases associated with the project.
? Coordinate the installation of replacement equipment when necessary.
? Follow up with customers in regards to equipment failure, projects or moves/adds/changes to ensure equipment is running as expected when second level support is necessary.
? Apply technical expertise to technical reviews providing an explanation of repairs for upper management approvals.
? Perform site surveys for projects and equipment moves, additions or changes. This can consist of obtaining inventory, system information, connectivity, electrical and site contact information.
? Administrator the GSDS database, insuring adherence to computer naming standards and provide a weekly status report to Management.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications Requirements and Recommendations
? Four-year technical degree or equivalent education and training preferred.
? A+, PC and peripheral certifications (ex. HP, Dell) preferred
? Microsoft Excel and Word
? Database (Access, Paradox) preferred
? Presentation software (PowerPoint)
? Project Management software preferred
? Mainframe (TRIPS) preferred
