Accenture is opening a delivery center in San Antonio that will provide business process outsourcing services to clients in Texas and around the world. The center will employ approximately 350 professionals in the immediate future, bringing the number of Accenture employees in Texas to nearly 3,500.

The Development Management Lead is responsible for the development activity associated with the design and build of applications in alignment with business and technology strategy. Key application development platforms support is: ABAP, Java, Unix, and Integrated Architecture.

Key responsibilities include:

•Management of the Development personnel
oManages schedule, budget and staffing for assigned projects
oPersonnel development of Development Team members
oProvide mentoring, coaching and professional development for staff
oEnsure that all team members are receiving performance feedback (quarterly, annual, etc)
oTeam morale/ employee satisfaction
oDevelopment personnel training/education/development relationships.
oActive participation in community events

•Management Development operations
•
oApproves Development Service Level Agreements and measures progress against established metrics.
oApproves proposed changes to Service Level Agreements and metrics for impact to the Development Team.
oResponsible for Development processes and standards (policies and procedures
oEnsures that all deliverables created in compliance with methodologies and processes for all phases of the work: planning, technical designs, development, unit and component testing and software deployment.
oCoordinates activities with other stakeholders and manages the application development life cycle to meet business and technical requirements.
oProvides application development expertise to design and build business applications in alignment with business and technology strategy.
oManaging prioritization and escalation of Development based service requests
oPromote continuous improvement

•Support value creation activities
oSupport the Delivery Center Lead with service delivery - planning, budgeting, staffing, personnel development, etc.
oKey Delivery Center representative for marketing and sales activities
oDemonstrate and promote client service attitude within group.

•Promote internal / external customer satisfaction and build strong customer relationships

REQUIREMENTS
•7 or more years experience in the related field of Development/Delivery, including documented Architecture experience on custom-designed, full life-cycle application development projects. Prefer someone with significant experience planning and executing web-based large scale projects
•Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or 4 additional years of IT experience in lieu of a degree
•At least 2 years of experience with current large-scale computer system architectures using modern services oriented architectures in one or more of the following areas:
oERP development experience (SAP ABAP, Oracle Tools, etc)
oEDI development
oAI (WebMethods/SeeBeyond product suite)
oJava and Unix Architecture knowledge and development capabilities
oIntegration of J2EE based applications into existing mission critical legacy applications
oImplementation of large scale Internet based J2EE based applications
oMainframe and web development technologies
Nice to Have Qualifications
•Comprehensive knowledge of information systems and current computer technology
•Thorough understanding of software development processes and methodologies and knowledge of the complete product development life cycle
•Team leadership on past large scale development engagements
•People development experience
•Experience with quality management techniques
