Repower Dispatcher

SUMMARY

In this role, you are assigned a number of customer accounts. In the event a driver cannot deliver on time due to hours of service, breakdowns, etc, your responsibility is to support the customer service reps, dispatchers, and driver managers, by performing a repower with another driver who has available hours to keep the freight moving to destination. This requires you to comply with routing, time management, safety, compliance, and training procedures. Knowledge of US geography, the ability to multi-task and problem solve are key for this position.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Tracks specific accounts and maintains current reports pertinent to pick up and delivery of shipments
Investigates problems pertinent to loads in transit; communicates findings with customer service reps and appropriate departments and solves the problem.
Communicates with dispatch pertinent to special need situations when performing a repower.
Uses Qualcomm to communicate repower information to drivers as required.
Uses the necessary tools of the AS400 to evaluate, set up and perform a repower based on the companies needs as required.
Insure repowers comply with the companies compliance and safety departments as required
REQUIREMENTS
PC skills and ability to use keyboard with a degree of accuracy
Qualcomm experience
Knowledge of US geography
Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
Strong follow up and problem solving skills
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work with detailed information
Ability to work in an ever-changing environment with ongoing interruptions
Ability to perform job duties with a sense of urgency
