Oilfield Treating Specialist III - Odessa, TX
Nalco is currently seeking an Oilfield Treating Specilaist III located in Odessa, TX. Position is responsible for the safe operation and preventative maintenance of any type of vehicle used to deliver chemicals to customers, plant and/or warehouse locations. Principal accountabilities include the following:
Responsible for loading truck, preparing daily bills of lading, scheduling the order of daily treatments and for submitting treating reports to sales. Also maintains chemical inventory reports.
Responsible for treating all scheduled wells on a regular basis. Working on weekends and holidays may also be required.
Must present and represent himself/herself in a professional manner and work closely with sales people to satisfy customer requirements.
Regular communication with sales and supervisor is required in order to report field problems, i.e., safety deficiencies, well shutdowns, wells not treated, competitive activity, etc.
Must have an aptitude for working with pumps, meters, gauges, forklift trucks, two-wheel dollies and have good working knowledge of components on oil and gas wells.
Must regularly inspect equipment for safety deficiencies, i.e., fitting connections, hoses, oil well equipment, etc., and always be alert of dangers when working around pressurized oil and gas wells. Must also be alert to the possibilities of exposure to H2S (hydrogen sulfide).
Maintains truck and equipment in a safe and operable condition at all times by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections.
Must possess a good knowledge of chemical safety awareness and the measures to take in the event of skin contact or spill.
In some locations, may be responsible for warehouse responsibilities, which would include the inventory and ordering of chemicals, receiving incoming shipments and the upkeep of warehouse and grounds.
Maintains driver's log, accurate up-to-date lease maps and operates in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials and hours of service.
Keeps current on safety techniques and takes advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills. Must be able to recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment. A good safety attitude is imperative.

REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or equivalent GED.
Must meet DOT and Nalco Energy Services' Drug Screening and physical examination requirements requirements (Random drug testing is part of Nalco's Corporate Drug Policy)
Current CDL (Commercial Driver's License), issued by the state in which the candidate resides with all the relevant endorsements.
24 years of age or older with one (1) year of commercial driving experience, and no violations or preventable accidents in the past one (1) year.
