Training Coordinator

SRA is consistently recognized as an IT leader by clients, industry associations, and business and technology publications.Daily Responsibilities: The Training Coordinator will be responsible for identifying training needs and opportunities, working closely with the Government Training Coordinator, Chief of IT Operations, and other Government team chiefs. The individual will coordinate with client offices and individuals, as needed, to determine training or application consulting requirements. The training coordinator will maintain a training plan for a training program that includes assessing new applications, training and consulting on a variety of applications, working with a team of trainers to determine areas of responsibility, train-the-trainer activities, and collecting and reporting metrics. The training coordinator will develop or assist with development and review of training and software documentation to include user’s guides, quick reference guides, and other documentation. The training coordinator will provide training, as required, on Government Off-the-Shelf, Microsoft Office products, Lotus Notes, and other Off-the-Shelf products. The individual may provide support for training related off-sites or conferences, when needed. The position is based in Herndon, but requires traveling to other Northern Virginia locations for meetings and/or training events. Required: Years of experience (min) 6 Required: Degree Bachelors Required: Subject Computer Science, Information Systems, Education, or Business Administration Required: Management/Strategy Consulting Skills Candidate should possess a minimum of six years of experience in training and course development; a minimum of one years experience managing a training program or team; an ability to learn new software products; familiarity with software lifecycle development; and some experience in technical writing and software testing. Candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills. Knowledge or experience with Government client Intelligence analysts is a plus. Familiarity with Lotus Notes is helpful.
