Professional Marketing & Sales Training Specialist US
Support the department in the following areas: Identification and procurement of Marketing & Sales logistical needs for training and development. Identify, design, and develop training and administrative aids to support M&S training programs. Develop and coordinate M&S career development planning and continuous implementation and reporting. Maintain and monitor Sales and Marketing Training budgets in coordination with Finance. Coordinate, record, and maintain the Customer Contact Session program for all of Marketing & Sales. Upgrade and maintain sales training content on the intranet/sanofi pasteur University. Review and approve all product knowledge training manuals and updates. Complete special projects as assigned.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT TRACKING: Develop and maintain databases for M&S career development tracking and progression.
Ensure that all M&S employees receive a minimum of two training programs per year.
Update and maintain quarterly reports and communication on progression of career development for M&S personnel.
Collaborate with Management to select participants for various training. Coordinate involvement/activity of outside training consultants and other internal sanofi pasteur contacts.
Develop and communicate annual training plans, calendar and schedules.
Keep all parties promptly and accurately informed of key training issues and logistics.
Conduct Customer Contact Sessions to obtain feedback on training and logistics.
TRAINING LOGSTICS
Objective: Effectively manage logistics and materials for training programs:
Coordinate logistics (Travel arrangements, equipment, hotel, meals, etc.) of Marketing and Sales training programs, e.g., FBT, SMART, SMARTer, Home Based Training, career development and other training initiatives as assigned.
Create and manage yearly training calendar/schedule of all M&S Training Programs
Create roster, send out invitations and prework to participants for each training program
MANAGEMENT OF TRAINING AIDS AND MATERIALS Identify, design, develop, review, and update training and administrative aids to support M&S training programs.
Provide revisions and updates of scientific, product, and sales manuals used for training new sales representatives in the field, and coordinate rollout of training programs.
Proofread and make changes to Product Knowledge modules.
In conjunction with Technology Trainer, Sales Force Automation Manager, and IS, coordinate development and implement the sanofi pasteur Intranet Training Site.
Develop new training materials to meet and exceed the knowledge and skill requirements of M&S personnel.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Objective: Maintain and monitor the sales training budget. Expectations:
Prepare and promptly submit budgets and expenses. Ensure that the department is operating within the confines of the approved expense budget.
Updates the Sales Training Director and Finance on expenditures versus budgets and/or adjustments to the budget on a routine basis.
Provides M&S Training Director with monthly budget updates.
TRAINING NEEDS ASSESSMENT and DEVELOPMENT Objective: Assist the Director and Deputy Directors in the identification and development of M&S training and development needs.
Expectations:
Work closely with Deputy Directors for identification, development, design, and implementation of all training programs affecting marketing and sales training.
Analyze feedback from participants regarding informal and formal training programs.
Recommends methods to meet the future training and development needs of M&S.
Assist in the research, evaluation of career development training programs for trainers, product managers, and field sales representatives
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
Coordinate, record, and maintain the Customer Contact Session program for all of Marketing & Sales (sole responsibility). Ensures equal distribution of Field Contact across all territories and positions. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree and 1-2 years of Marketing and/or Sales experience.
Extensive computer and project management experience. Knowledge of corporate and department policies and procedures. Knowledge of departmental and corporate finance procedures. Basic product knowledge and understanding of vaccine terminology.
