Director of Operations and Training

Position Title: Director of Operations and Training



Basic Function: Direct the overall operations; responsible for scheduling instructors, classroom, and resources necessary to deliver training and business operations.



Principal Responsibilities:



Direct, Supervise, and develop the Operation and Training Department personnel to ensure a highly motivated and efficient staff
Create the trimester schedule. Coordinate timely publication and distribution.
Observe and evaluate instructor performance and initiate appropriate corrective actions and reports as required.
Supervise the hiring of instructors as necessary to carry out program requirements. Initiate hiring high-quality instructor training programs.
Approve on-site training requests. Evaluate requests and coordinate with Operations/Training Team to meet client requests.
Direct the optimum utilization of instructors, classrooms, computers, company network, and other resources to deliver training
Assign instructors and other resources considering the student demand and objectives approved by the Owner. Approve independent instructor contracts/engagements.
Monitor on-site training delivery costs. Approve invoices for hotel and other resources in accordance to New Horizons guidelines.
Support Sales Department, providing knowledge of all available classes and working to accommodate clients’ special needs.
Develop, administer, and is accountable for the departments operating budget.
Develop and recommend budgeting requirements for instructors and other resources required for training.
Assume responsibility for the department equipment and supplies, establishes reasonable procedures and controls to protect assets from damage and theft.


Position Qualifications:



Bachelor degree, emphasis in education or computer science is preferred.

Two or more years of management experience is preferred.



Computer literate and able to demonstrate proficiency in software application required in the performance of job responsibilities. Proficiency in database software applications required.



Must possess excellent leadership abilities; be able to consistently make intelligent decisions under pressure, possess good judgment, initiative, good job attitude and be dependable; possess excellent organizational abilities and must be able to deal effectively with people; possess good analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and deadlines is essential.


Effective oral, write and interpersonal communication skills are imperative.
REQUIREMENTS
