Solutions Architect

Leading Communications company is looking for a Solutions Architect to be a part of a team to help design and develop software products that are used globally. This engineer will be working with a team that has a particular passion for building high-quality and highly scalable server software solutions using Java technologies. The emphasis is on teamwork, collaborative design and the constant pursuit of improving their technology and processes.
Our client's customers are demanding additional features and functionality for the particular software products and therefore the team is looking to add an additional motivated, passionate and highly skilled software engineer. The Solutions Architect will communicate with Software Engineers, here in the U.S. and those situated off-shore in the Asia-Pacific.Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for overall system architecture in all customization implementations. Participate in implementation of server software customization for customers around the world.Be a part of a dynamic team and contribute to overall success of the organization. Must have demonstrated, verifiable experience in software engineering as well as the ability to properly prioritize, report, and work multiple tasks. Recommend technical solutions to management, and assist management in making decisions on technical issues.Guide software developers on their solutions implementation and trouble shooting. Collaborate with other functional areas such as QA, CM, NetOps, and PM in product realization. Able to travel occasionally.
REQUIREMENTS
10 plus years in software development with at lease 5 years related experience in Java/J2EE solution development for Linux/Unix based environment.Proven track record as an architect, deep knowledge in overall system architecture, performance, capacity.Experienced in playing technical leadership role.In depth understanding of Web technologies, Struts, software design patterns (for java and j2ee), IntelliJ IDEA , etc.Strong knowledge of wireless communication technologies, Oracle and other Databases, Security & authentication protocols and other Internet protocols.Hands-on experience on Content Management Platforms, Content Workflow and Syndication protocols (RSS, NewsML, Atom etc) is a strong plus.Excellent communication skills.Work well in team environment.Full-time, Permanent position
