Seasonal Wine Lab Technician

Prominent winery in search of a harvest lab technician to perform various analysis using state of the art analytical instrumentation. This position will include a good combination of laboratory bench work and winemaking/barrel monitoring. Great opportunity to gain some industry experience!

Job responsibilities:

Analysis of samples using basic techniques: pH, TA, SO2, protein stability, and cold stability.

Tannin Analysis using analytical equipment

Trial set-up and evaluation: blending trials and acid trials.

Monitor fermentation processes

Microbiology analysis: culture preparation, plating, microscopy, colony counting and starter cultures

Molecular biology: PCR analysis

Expansion on responsibilities and learning opportunities will exist throughout the duration of the position.
