Reagent Manufacturing Supervisor

Purpose: Reagent Manufacturing Supervisor Supervise and support the formulation, qualification, filling and packaging of reagents for released products and new products in development. Continually improve the reagent production lab and processes in order to meet or exceed internal and external demand. Plan and schedule all reagent production. Manage the department to ensure we have the staff, equipment and space to handle future requirements while achieving cost and quality targets.

Duties Include:
-Supervise and support the reagent manufacturing group to meet inventory demands, cost targets and quality requirements.
-Formulate, qualify, fill and package reagents for routine production and new product development.
-Develop and improve infrastructure to support reagent production. Infrastructure includes business process controls (documentation), material and inventory management, manufacturing process and test methods, and laboratory equipment (sourcing, calibration, and maintenance).
-Interact with other functional groups within the organization to refine and optimize reagent products for cost, quality and performance.
-Team with the application R&D groups to enable the optimization, characterization, development and commercialization of new reagent products.

Qualifications Essential:
-Several years of relevant experience taking products for the life science industry from R & D to commercial release.
-Experience writing documentation for manufacturing quality systems.
-Organized and detailed work ethic to ensure timely production and consistent quality of co. reagents.
-Self disciplined, motivated and productive individual to independently manage the reagent production lab.
-BS degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related discipline.

Desired:
-QC Methods development experience.
-Knowledge of LIMS systems and Quality Data Systems.
-Access database and report generation.
