Radiation Physicist

Department: Radiation OncologyJob Description:
Provides technical support necessary to ensure safe and accurate delivery of radiation to patients seeking treatment. Implements and maintains appropriate quality control measures and procedures to satisfy regulatory requirements and ensure safe use and delivery of radiation. Acts as consultant for physician and others and as a teacher for staff members on radiation delivery and radiation safety issues.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Required: Masters Degree in physics or closely related area required with registry with State of Alabama Radiation Control to perform independent checks of linear accelerator and Certification by American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics required. Ability to use various office machines, computers, software packages, diagnostic equipment, Linear accelerators and other patient therapeutic equipment and/or machines.Experience Required: Three to four years experience in this or related field.Status: Full-TimeSchedule: DayPay: Competitive Salary and Benefits
