Full Job Title: Phlebotomist Per diem Department: Laboratory
Description of Job: Performs venipunctures on hospital patients. Collects and delivers blood specimens from inpatient and outpatient areas, including off campus screening sites and nursing homes. Performs bleeding times and obtains blood culture specimens. Staffs the pneumatic tube system and delivers specimens sent through the system to various sections of the laboratory. Performs duties required for the support of the central receiving operation to include patient registrations, order entry and specimen accession. Graduation from a certified phlebotomy program. Experience preferred. Second shift, includes rotating weekends and holidays.
