MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST/ CLINICAL LAB. / CHEMISTRY

Responsible for utilizing independent judgment and performing Medical Technologist functions including interpretive testing. Correlates data correctly and monitors results for reasonableness. Assists in the instruction of Medical Technology students and other personnel.

REQUIREMENTS
Certified as a Medical Technologist by ASCP, NCA or CLT(HEW) or graduate of a NAACLS accredited School of Medical Technology and registry eligible. No previous work experience necessary. Must understand clinical laboratory methodology and clinical correlation. Proficient in the use of the appropriate equipment. Thorough understanding of the ethics of Medical Technology and realization of the importance of accuracy and reliability in the performance of laboratory tests.
