Formulations Technician/Chemist

Purpose: Our client, a professional beauty industry leader that manufactures and markets a full range of hair care, texture service and hair color options for today's salons and salon professionals is looking for a Formulations Technician/Chemist to join their team. Candidates must have experience working with consumer products!

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for performing at least 3 batches per day. The batches performed will be using an already determined recipe and following it exactly but being able to watch the process and monitor it and make any needed changes if things are not going well. You will be working in the lab with 15 other lab technicians. You will also be performing stability testing of raw materials for shampoos, conditioners and styling products. It is bench work. You will not be discovering the formulations, rather they will be following a recipe and watching the reactions and monitoring it.

To be qualified for this position, candidates must have 1-2 years of industry related(Consumer Goods: cosmetic, hair care, color, skin products) and experience in batching of raw materials. You should have experience in testing pH, viscosity, specific gravity and total solids (moisture reading).
