The Environmental Coordinator will be responsible for environmental regulatory compliance and related training for JM Family’s diverse group of companies. Program areas include: Waste Management, Air Quality, Storage Tank Systems and Hazardous Material Management.
The Environmental Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining and overseeing an environmental management database system, and supporting the Environmental Department’s goals and objectives related to maintaining environmental metrics for waste generation, waste reduction, recycling and energy conservation.
The individual selected for this position must be forward thinking, and able to develop, articulate and implement sustainable ideas and goals to improve current best environmental management practices within JM Family and its related companies.
REQUIREMENTS
1.Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Natural Science.
2. One to two years of experience preferred - but not required - in environmental related field and working knowledge of air, water, waste water, storm water and storage tank management. Working knowledge of safety related matters also preferred.
3.Ability to communicate effectively with associates, supervisors and managers at each business unit is essential.
4.Must possess exceptional verbal, written and organization skills.
5.Must possess exceptional computer skills and have a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
6.Ability and willingness to travel to each business location, sometimes on short notice.
