Enviromental Scientist I

Engineering firm in Macon is looking for an Enviromental Scientist. This position does not require previous experince. Works under close supervision; receives specific and detailed instructions about assignments. Peforms a variety of routine tasks which are intended to provide experience and interaction with higher-level staff. methods, practices, programs. This position will be responsible for helping facilities maintain compliance with enviromental regulations and their monitoring requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Graduation from a college or university with a degree in Enviromental Science or similiar program. Knowledge and experience using spreadsheets (MS Excel), work processing programs (MS Word), and scheduler programs (MS Project). Continues learning process by attending in-house seminars and continuing education opportunities outside of the office.
Assist the Enviromental Scientist II or higher with enviromental compliance for various enviromentally sensitive facilities. Responsible for ensuring all monitoring requirements are met and assist Enviromental Scientist II with coordinating individual site requirements. Assit with document review of various groundwater, surface water,, methane, leachate, air, NPDES monitoring/compliance data, and statistical analysis reports.
