Entry Level Laboratory Technician

Purpose: A Los Angeles Clinical Laboratory that provides clinical trials testing and testing for infectious diseases is looking for an entry level LABORATORY TECHNICIAN for immediate hire. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for gain industry experience in a laboratory setting. A six-week paid training program will be provided.

The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for the following:
1. Operating Sample Processor Instrumentation

2. Troubleshooting laboratory equipment

3. Documentation of all results.

4. Record and initial the completion of all steps of procedure

5. Respond to supervisor and manager inquiries regarding test procedure, factors affecting tests, specificity and sensitivity of assays.

6. Assist in processing of incoming specimen

7. Assist with PCR set-up and testing

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have a BS/BA degree in a scientific field. Previous laboratory experience is a plus. Must be able to make a one-year commitment.

Pay: $13.00/hr (day schedule), $14.95 (2nd shift/grave shift schedule)
