Development Chemist

Fujifilm Imaging Colorants, Inc., has the following Chemist position available within our New Castle, DE facility.

DEVELOPMENT CHEMIST
Incumbent to carry out projects related to aqueous dyestuff purification and formulation of inks for the ink jet printing industry. Projects involve initial laboratory development, semi-tech manufacture in pilot plant and scaleup to production units. Significant customer interaction is
required, though travel is limited. Support of the Production department and new process development activities are also expected. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for providing front line supervision to
several laboratory technicians setting the weekly work schedules and daily management of their performance.

Minimum BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required. Preferred candidates will have five or more years experience in industry and demonstrated direct supervisory experience. Experience with customer interactions and working in a plant type environment are preferred.
Experience in general laboratory process techniques and analytical techniques related to GC, HPLC, and Spectrophotometry are an advantage.
