Assesses staff competency. Creates a learning environment. Serves as role model for company values and culture and as internal technical consultant. Participates in continuing education and competency programs and complies with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.Job Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for serving organization as role model.
1.1 Performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies, including but not limited to Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) regulations, and the current Good Manufacturing practices (cGMP).
1.2 Supports Bonfils Business Management Systems, leadership values, and ethics and incorporates them and all applicable regulations into all decisions and programs.
1.3 Demonstrates integration of Bonfils quality policy by modeling behavior that supports achieving our mission and vision. Exhibits support of our values, quality objectives, and customer service standards at all times.2. Responsible for performing department functions according to policies and procedures.
2.1 Complies with department and business policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
2.2 Checks all work and reports for completeness, accuracy and quality.
2.3 Confers with supervisor or designee on any problems or discrepancies.3. Responsible for training staff to competently perform duties according to OP. Assesses competency.
3.1 Trains to controlled OPs and training materials utilizing adult learning methods and a variety of methods to increase retention.
3.2 Educates staff to the theory, rational and relevance of activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the organization’s quality objectives.
3.3 Assesses competency and ability to perform according to OP and desired expectations.
3.4 Communicates progression of learning to the trainee and gives supportive, constructive feedback.
3.5 Updates Training Specialist and management on trainee’s progress.
3.6 Maintains accurate and complete training and competency records.
3.7 Maintains training database.
3.8 Assures initial certifications, recertifications and annual updates are complete.4. Responsible for monitoring the effectiveness and compliance of training and competence assessment programs and continuous improvement.
5.1 Assists in evaluating the effectiveness of programs.
5.2 Evaluates how effectively learning is transferred to the workplace.
5.3 Evaluates retention of knowledge and skills through ongoing competency assessment.
5.4 Reinforces desired performance through coaching and feedback.
5.5 Advises and provides suggestions to improve system efficiency and effectiveness.
5.6 Participates in the departments QA and APE process as needed.5. Responsible for monitoring post training mentoring period, if applicable.
6.1 Provides input to mentors regarding the trainee’s performance observed during initial training.
6.2 Acts as training resource to mentors and supervisors of trainees.
6.3 Follows up and assures completion of all paperwork associated with the mentoring phase.
6.4 Contacts the trainee and mentor during the mentoring phase to monitor progress.7. Responsible for performing department functions as needed and according to specific job description.Blood Exposure Risk: At RiskEducational or Formal Training:
