EWP DISTRICT PRODUCT LINE SALES REP II

Position located in the Sacramento / Rocklin California area.

Purpose
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships in the market that drive demand creation, account penetration, and sales growth.

Responsibilities
Develop strong relationships and improved market presence with customer in assigned territory, actively promoting and generating profitable sales at the distributor, dealer, builder, and design levels.
Routinely visit customers (distributors, dealers, builders, and designers) to provide marketing information on LP products for the purpose of enhancing sales opportunities.
Provide product, sales, training, and promotional support to customers.
Manage wholesale customers, tracking product movement and market opportunities.
Respond effectively to competitor products and pricing to develop sales within assigned territory.
Provide market feedback from the field to sales management regarding products, pricing and customer concerns.
Provide forecasting, trend, and budgeting information to sales management for assigned territory.
Develop and enhance knowledge of the construction and building products industry, including LP products, competitor products, market trends, and customer business.
Provide post-sales support to the customer, investigating field claims, and coordinating with LP engineering to promptly provide customer with appropriate fix.
Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
Perform other duties as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of company products, policies and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of order entry process.
Thorough knowledge of target market.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational, multitasking and analytical skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of basic financial terms and calculations.
Good public speaking and consultation skills.
Ability to operate a computer and supporting software.
Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Knowledge of engineered wood products and terminology.
Knowledge of construction practices and use of engineered wood products.

Education
Bachelorâ??s degree in business or marketing or related field.

Experience
Requires 5-7 years of related sales or business experience.
Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

Work Environment
Frequent travel required (30-70%).
