Customer Service/Inside Sales
Our client, an Aerospace Manufacturing Company, is seeking a CSR.
POSITION TITLE: Customer Service Representative (CSR)
SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Plant Manager / Manufacturing Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly/Non-Exempt
PAY: to be discussed upon reviewing resumes
General Summary:
People in this role will be the main contact and the resident expert for each assigned customer regarding issues such as:
contract requirements,
specific individual needs of the customers and / or their representatives,
lead-times, etc.
This is a role of “goodwill ambassador”, as well as acting as liaison and problem solver for both the customer as well as the client company. CSR’s will focus much of their attention on achieving 100% on-time delivery through proactive management of each sales order. All actions must support Quality Policies and Mission Statement as well as other company policies and procedures.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Focal for all customer questions, concerns and problem resolution
Liaison between customers and plant personnel to facilitate flow of materials, tooling, paperwork, etc. in and between work centers to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
Coordination between the customer(s), the plant and the Marketing group is key. This will include being part of the marketing groups meetings and occasionally reporting to others, such as: Director of Marketing, a Market Sector Director and / or a Program Manager when required.
Review of all P.O.C.’s and new order entry reports and apply changes, or work with others as necessary, to determine required actions, if any.
Proactively review and manage delivery schedules:
Status delinquencies, know where they are within the plant and the projected delivery date. “Hands on” approach! Status to the Customer will be done in the format they request or that they agree upon.
Manage and coordinate short flow, AOG’s, priority customer requirements, including negotiating due dates when on-time delivery is in jeopardy.
Identify potential problems, analyze and propose alternatives for resolution for any issues that may jeopardize on-time delivery.
Request, charge and track expedite costs as required.
Analyze information provided by the customer to produce the job and to determine those items required for the job and ensure that they are available.
Provide a complete workable order package to the product line.
Generate quotes on part number rolls and tools.
Act in the role as a technical liaison between the customers and plant.
Proactively manage all jobs on hold to reduce on-hold time and ensure 100%on-time delivery
Create tooling orders,as required.
Identify potential problems,analyze and propose alternatives for resolution for any issues discovered in the review process.
Review of the planning Tracker,as necessary,to determine feasibility of required lead times,etc..
Other Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Cross train and support customer service team objectives as required.
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and or other members of the management team

REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or general education degree.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple priorities or tasks simultaneously.
Ability to effectively and professionally present information and respond to questions with individuals and groups.
Ability to write professional business correspondence, reports etc.
Demonstrated proficiency in: Excel, Word and use of Access
Demonstrated ability to develop great relationships with customers.
Demonstrated use of problem solving tools and good decision-making ability.
Thorough understanding of process flows and lead times
Understanding and / or willingness to learn and apply lean principles in a mfg. environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods of time and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Special Requirements:
Flexibility to work overtime as required.
