The Banking Sales Specialist role is part of the National Banking
Sales Group. Working closely together with our branch teams, dual
employee financial consultants and banking credit specialists to
provide “best in class” tools, resources and solutions to our clients
across the country.
Description:
As a Banking Sales Specialist at Charles Schwab, you will build and
manage a relationship based practice of current Schwab clients. You
will be responsible for anticipating and exceeding our client's
financial service with a focus on:
Bank Client Retention
New Mortgage and HELOC Sales
Other Bank Product Sales & Referrals
Sales and Revenue Targets
Typical daily activities include:
Implementing a variety of new business development/client
acquisition programs
Contacting existing bank loan clients who may be looking to
refinance or change their debt situation
Engaging prospects and clients via live chat on the web to
uncover opportunities and offer them Schwab Bank solutions
Follow up on Bank lending leads
Through proactive chat and outbound calling to high potential loan
clients, your financial success will be the direct result of personal
selling and relationship management skills. Our Banking Outbound
Specialist Incentive Compensation program will reward overall banking
sales with an attractive financial package.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
Extensive banking sales experience with a strong
understanding/knowledge of mortgage and HELOC products
(previous experience as a loan/mortgage officer and/or
experience with originating loans)
3 or more years of proactive, successful sales experience in
the financial services industry
1- 2 telemarketing or telesales skills with proven ability to
meet individual as well as organization goals
Outstanding communication skills
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
Comprehensive industry and client solution knowledge
Desired brokerage experience – 7 & 63 licenses desired
Relationship and client retention experience and success
