Mosaic, an industry leader in national field marketing, has an immediate opening for the position of part-time Field Merchandising Specialist.
The part-time Field Merchandising Specialist will perform on-going merchandising and product-awareness services to maximize sales of DVD's on behalf of our client, the nation's largest consumer electronics retailer. This is an exciting position, and an excellent opportunity to work for an outstanding company!
In this role, you will maximize sales of our client's products by visiting your assigned store(s) on a set weekly schedule ensuring that all DVD's are represented on the sales floor in proper quantities. You will also be responsible for setting product to plan-o-grams, ensuring POP placement, collecting and reporting detailed inventory data, and moving product from the stock room to the sales floor.
As a Field Merchandising Specialist, you will work closely with retail associates and managers, informing them of new product launches, promotions and procedures. Your ability to build relationships and maintain strong partnerships with store personnel is key in achieving the goals of this program.
Responsibilities:
- Display a professional demeanor while representing the client and Mosaic
Conduct store visits according to the designated frequency
Conduct weekly inventory cycle counts
Maximize visual presentation by facing out titles
Train and motivate the store staff on new movie releases in order to drive sales
Complete all administrative duties in accordance with Mosaic client instructions
REQUIREMENTS
General Requirements:
- Proven and successful track record in retail or merchandising environment
- Experience influencing shelf and display allocation decisions by store management
- Experience communicating with store management and associates and building positive relationships
- Prior success in meeting performance goals within a structured environment
- Independent, self-motivated and organized
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Flexible and adaptable
- Reliable transportation
- Must be at least 18 years or older and eligible to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Available to work a set schedule: Monday - Friday, daytime hours (may start as early as 7 AM and may include weekend hours)
Technical Requirements:
- 24 hour/7 days a week computer access
- Strong computer skills utilizing the Internet, email and Microsoft Office Suite
- Capable of utilizing the latest in hand-held computer technology for data collection and reporting
- Ability to complete weekly online training
Auto Insurance Requirements:
All employees that are required to use their personal vehicle for business purposes are required to provide Mosaic with evidence of insurance and agree in writing to keep this insurance current throughout employment.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to operate a computer using both hands; stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours in retail environment; sit; reach with hands and arms; read, talk and hear; count and perform basic mathematic functions; sort, organize, and assemble things according to written instructions; regular lifting up to 25 lbs. to move stock or displays from the stock room to selling floor.
