Internal Auditor

Position Title: Internal Auditor Reports to: Manager - Internal Audit Vice President - Internal AuditPurpose of Position:The Internal Auditor assists in the examination of functions and activities assigned by Internal Audit department management. This position will assist in ensuring the adequacy of the Ann Taylor internal control environment and conformance with Company and departmental goals, objectives and standards.Responsibilities:Under the direction of the Manager - Internal Audit and Vice President - Internal Audit, the Internal Auditor is responsible for:performing audits of assigned functions in accordance with the audit plan;
assisting in the planning and performance of reviews and tests of assigned functions and activities;
assisting with the implementation of the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404 process and performing audit tests and procedures as part of the process to ensure the design and operating effectiveness of internal control;
performing and documenting audit tasks as required by the audit program;
writing audit comments and recommendations for improvement for inclusion in the audit report;
keeping Internal Audit department management informed on a timely basis of any findings or possible
recommendations;
making oral presentations of audit findings to management and supervisory personnel within the area being audited;
maintaining the internal audit library of audit projects and materials;
maintaining effective working relationships with operating management of all levels; and,
manage multiple tasks effectively.Scope of Work:The Internal Auditor will participate in the following:SOX 404 internal control evaluation and testing
Financial, Operational and Information Systems audits
Information Systems implementation participationRequirements:
A bachelor degree in accounting
3 or more years of public accounting/audit experience
CPA/CIA/CISA certifications strongly preferred
Strong computer skillsTravel:Travel is estimated at 20%.Job Requirements
