Floor-Covering Sales Associate

Thomas Tile & Carpet is a premier, full service floor-covering store located in the western suburbs of Chicago. For over 40 years this family owned and operated business has been offering the following products and services: ceramic tile, natural stone, hardwood, laminate flooring, vinyl, wall to wall carpet, area rugs and full service installation or training for do-it-yourselfers. Thomas Tile & Carpet has established itself with commercial and residential developers, builders and contractors. We are looking for a candidate that can increase our penetration in those markets. Previous floor-covering experience helpful.

Responsibilities will include:
.Outside sales prospecting
.Consulting with customers on flooring solutions
.Managing the sales process from qualification to close
.Working with warehouse staff, installation manager and co-workers to make sure product is installed timely and accurately
.Keeping current on products in the showroom and trends in the flooring industry
.Administrative tasks such as sample tracking, material ordering
