Evening Manager
Qualifications:
A dynamic coordinator of food experts that serve as a link between our brand, products, and an outstanding shopping experience for our customers. Provides leadership and motivation, within the store, to promote a culture reflective of the company’s guiding principles, core values and vision. Serves as a model for extraordinary customer service and instills this value to associates. A high school graduate or equivalent preferred. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. Must meet minimum age requirements (at least 18 yrs old). Ability and availability to work evening shifts.
Essential Job Functions:
1.Be a cultural leader and work collaboratively across departments providing unsurpassed service to customers and associates.
2.Anticipate and deliver what customers expect and deserve.
3.Responsible for the overall operation of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager, Assistant Manager, Grocery Manager and CSM.
4.Epitomize the Sweetbay attributes of knowledge and passion for food.
5.Supervise performance of all duties and responsibilities of all evening associates.
6.Use good judgment in the delegation, assignment, and follow-up required for the efficient performance of the store.
7.Ensure quality conditions of all products.
8.Assist in attaining financial objectives by focusing on getting the right things done right, by the right people, at the right time.
9.Observe and ensure compliance with company security, safety, and food safety standards.
10.Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
11.Provide leadership to select and develop associates. Make recommendations as to hiring, termination, promotion and demotion of store associates. These recommendations are given particular weight and are regularly followed.
REQUIREMENTS
Duties & Responsibilities:
1.Champion and influence the behaviors critical to the Sweetbay strategy.
2.Ensures that customers are welcome to the store, experience excellent store conditions, are able to find what they need, check out in a hassle free manner, and receive a greeting for every associate they come in contact with.
3.Maximize all resources (physical, human and financial) that will enable the store to achieve financial objectives while maximizing sales potential and growing the customer base.
4.Cultivate a sustainable energy and enthusiasm throughout the total store community.
5.Understand the use of company tools such as; MPP, financial reports, scheduling, ordering and business information systems.
6.Have a total understanding of the Grocery Best Practice Manual and its content.
7.Understand the potential causes and means for resolving and limiting inventory shrink issues in the store.
8.Develops and empowers a store team that enables consistent execution of the best practices, compliance with state and federal laws and company policies.
9.Treat all store information as strictly confidential.
10.Ensure that proper control of all store funds and company assets are maintained.
11.Perform all other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
1.Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions.
2.Lift up to 20 lbs regularly, including overhead lifting, and up to 40 lb. occasionally. Push/pull up to 40 lb. regularly.
3.Meet established volume and fixed activity standards.
4.Stand or walk 100% of the time.
5.Frequent reaching, grasping and lifting individual stock items below waist level or above shoulder level.
6.Ability to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packing materials and food products.
