Buffalo's Southwest Cafe is one of America's premier chains in casual dining restaurants with over 30 locations in 12 states. Buffalo's Southwest Cafe is currently seeking a General Manager for its new location in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
General Manager Duties & Responsibilities:
Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guild lines and training.
Ensure that all guest feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance, of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.Control cash and other receipt by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
Make employment and termination decisions.
Fill in where needed to ensure guest services standards and efficient operations.
Continually strive to develop your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.
Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in organized and timely manner.
Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in good working condition through personal inspection and by following a preventive maintenance program.
Ensure that all products are received in correct amounts and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with restaurant policies.
Oversee all restaurant policies pertaining to employee performance. Review all employees for raises and promotions in a timely fashion.Schedule labor as required by using in store projections as to stay with-in the assigned budget.Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any violation of company policies, rules and regulations.Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements if the restaurant, employees and guest.Develop, plan and carry out restaurant marketing, advertising and promotions.
REQUIREMENTS
General Manager Requirements:
Must be 21 or older.
Be able to communicate and understand languages (Spanish would be helpful) and restaurant terms.
Have extensive knowledge of the full service restaurant business with at least 3 full years as G.M. of a comparative concept.
Possess excellent math skills and have the ability to operate a up to date P.O.S. system
Be able to work for long periods of time on your feet 6 to 8 hours at a time.
Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
Must have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week.
