Park Hyatt Washington, DC invites you to join an incredible project to reposition the hotel with its cutting edge design and genuine hospitality. The hotel reopens in spring 2006 after a complete closure and dramatic $24 million redesign by New York-based visionary designer Tony Chi. Classic American themes pair with modern, contemporary style in the "reconcepted" property, welcoming clientele from around the world to our nation's capital.



The Pastry Chef will work directly with the Executive Chef to ensure successful culinary operation in accordance with the brand standards of the hotel and company. Overall responsibilities include cost control, computer skills, kitchen department organizational skills and knowledge. Additional responsibilities include leadership of personnel, customer service, marketing, financial management, administrative, operational and other responsibilities as assigned or required.



As part of the hotel re-launch, the Pastry Chef will recruit, train and develop new team members, establish policies and procedures, purchase operating equipment and implement marketing strategies. Successful candidates will have strong leadership, excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills and previous Pastry Chef experience in the luxury hotel market. Prior international luxury hotel or restaurant experience preferred. Second language and geographic mobility preferred.
