Our campus features 600 residents, 300 team members with (8) eight different dining areas.As a LEAD COOK you will be responsible to prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of meats, vegetables, soups, breakfast dishes, and other food items in large quantities. Provides training and guidance to other employees performing the same or related work.
Ensures efficient operation of kitchen areas, including ordering/receiving, food preparation, production, and sanitation. REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Has a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferably has two to three years of high volume food production experience.
Has previous experience in a kitchen supervisory role.
Participates in management training activities and seminars. Good working knowledge of cooking i.e., sauces and stocks.
Knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment i.e., stoves, ovens, broilers, slicer, steamers, kettles.
Knowledge of local and state health, sanitation and safety codes.
Expert knowledge in food handling, preparation, service and operations.
Ability to multi-task and solve problems quickly.
Passion and commitment to resident, guests and employee service.
Ability to motivate employees and to treat the staff with respect
Experience and knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
Ability to perform skills such as: twisting, lifting, and reaching.
ServSafe Certified a plus.
