ASSISTANT KITCHEN MANAGER (TJ)

Concept: ASSISTANT KITCHEN MANAGER (TJ)Tahoe Joe’s is a dinner only steakhouse that utilizes unique cooking techniques and enlightened hospitality to deliver the finest in Sierra Mountain Dining to our guests. We know that reaching our goal of continuing to build a successful company can only be achieved by bringing great people on board with a high level of integrity who treat our guests to an “Always Great” experience. Providing enlightened hospitality and effective leadership to a staff of employees who take pride in the consistent execution of our wonderful concept.
Responsibilities include following all guidance and instruction of the Kitchen Manager, District Representative or equivalent, and Director of Food Services. Be aware of all policies, procedures, manuals, training materials, memos, mailings, faxes, emails, voice messages & postings. Follow the Assistant Kitchen Manager routine outlines as set forth in the Management Training Program and Operations Manual. Complete required administrative tasks on a timely basis. Check in with the Back of the House employees. Meet and communicate with the Front of the House manager throughout the shift. Review product throughout the shift for proper preparation and quality and consistency, and coach where needed. Assure that employees are following the proper procedures, uniform guidelines, and policies as outlined in their respective manuals, providing leadership, motivation, and discipline where needed. Insure that proper safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene procedures are being followed on a regular basis and as outlined through the company safety program and in-store safety committee. Understand all financial reports and procedural forms and reviews on a daily basis. Manage costs through the correct use of recipes and productive use of labor. Complete additional assignments, as given to you by your supervisor(s), on a timely basis. Regularly review legal and administrative requirements to assure compliance. The Assistant Kitchen Manager position requires at least 3 years of cooking experience, including 1 yr of kitchen supervisor experience. Ability to lift 40lbs, 20 lbs over head, basic mathematics; knife cutting; Read and write English; Spanish a plus. Email resumes to [Click here for email]
