Vaccine Research Associate

Purpose: Aerotek is currently seeking a Research Associate for the Vaccine department with a client in Rockville Maryland.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Good aseptic laboratory practice techniques ? compounding, filtration, filling, labeling etc.
-Analytical techniques ? ELISA, Western Blot, UV spectrometry, colorimetry and simple assays in molecular biology
-Maintenance of accurate records of all product development operations.
-Assist in the development of new product specifications.
-Assist in the writing, reviewing, and editing of technical documents and SOPs.
-Ability to analyze and determine the applicability of laboratory data to draw conclusions and to make appropriate recommendations.
-Assist in the maintenance of department records and raw material / finished product inventories.
-Knowledge of accelerated stability testing as per ICH guidelines
Minimum requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in chemistry, pharmacy, engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
-1-2 years experience in pharmaceutical, biologics, biotech R&D environment. Experience in product / analytical development preferred.
-Minimum of 1 year experience in a laboratory or GMP environment using aseptic techniques.
-Knowledge and expertise in principles and practice of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
-Knowledgeable of FDA regulations regarding the R&D of biologics.
-Demonstrated verbal and written skills in communicating regulatory and technical information.
-Proficiency in use of Microsoft WORD and Excel.Classification:ContractCompensation:
