This is a temporary one year assignment

Assists with all aspects of greenhouse/growth chamber plant propagation, greenhouse maintenance, and seed handling.

Specific tasks for this job function are listed below:

Greenhouse Work / Seed Handling
· Plant soybean seeds, stake & tie soybean plants, harvest soybean plants, throw out or bring in greenhouse plant pots into greenhouses/growth chambers.
· Threshes soybean plants, and organize seed packets
· Apply systemic insecticides, fertilizers, etc., to plants
· Clean greenhouse/growth chamber floors and benches with chlorox
· Ability to lift heavy loads (50 lb seed boxes)
· Leaf tissue collection off of soybean plants for various tests
REQUIREMENTS
This is a temporary one year assignment

Entry level with some knowledge and/or experience with working in a greenhouse/growth chamber plant propagation. Ability to lift 50lbs required.
