Backed by a world-class R&D organization, sanofi-aventis is developing leading positions in seven therapeutic areas: cardiovascular disease, thrombosis, oncology, diabetes, central nervous system, internal medicine, and vaccines.Embrace this opportunity to join a diverse and talented group of individuals championed to take on innovation and change in our rapidly expanding organization.Formulate statistical objectives, experimental designs and statistical analyses for complex preclinical/discovery projects under the supervision of local manager.Collaborate with scientists on protocol development; review and approve.Furnish clients with comprehensive, factual information, analyses, knowledge, insight and recommendations for use in decision making.Review and approve statistical aspects of specific pharmacology reports and other scientific reports.Maintain awareness/utilize/conform to industry standards and regulatory requirements for statistical analysis and reporting of results.Prepare statistical reports and present results to scientists and management.Identify opportunities for improvement in the client operation.Conduct ongoing programs of consulting for one or more major areas of preclinical/discovery research.Provide departmental expertise in one or more areas of statistics and statistical computing.Assist and train clients in the understanding and use of statistical methods and software.Undertake one or more technology development projects.Participate in Departmental project work teams as required.
REQUIREMENTS
MS/Ph.D. in statistics with (4+/0-1) years experience in the area of drug development/discovery. Ability to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision.
