Sr. Research Scientist II Molb

As a Sr. Research Scientist II you will be responsible for demonstrating in depth skills and knowledge on research project teams. Candidate should have proven record of success at the bench using a broad range of laboratory skills as well as excellent organizational and communication skills. Flexibility and strong scientific curiosity are required. Experience leading or participating on multidisciplinary research teams is advantageous. A high level of initiative in performing experiments, particularly when problems are encountered which require troubleshooting is important. You should have a proven ability to design and execute well-thought-out research projects. You should have the documented ability to 1) conduct several experiments, some moderately complex, in parallel 2) perform calculations and draw conclusions regarding progress and results of work 3) quickly learn and accurately perform new procedures involving a range of technologies 4) read and understand the scientific and technical literature in order to bring new and improved procedures to the laboratory. The candidate should be capable of training scientific staff and exhibit the professional maturity to direct a laboratory associate. This person may mentor PhD level scientists and/or supervise their activities in project-specific assignments. The candidate will be required to present results at section and team meetings, write reports for internal communications as well as patents and scientific papers for peer reviewed journals. As a Sr. Research Scientist II you should demonstrate an expertise, in at least in one area of research/technology as evidenced by publications, patents or company reports. This person will contribute to the development of new products not simply by performing routine assays and procedures, but through the advancement of scientific knowledge in the field.This position requires a PhD. with a minimum of 2 years experience, preferably if which are postdoctoral experience or a Master's Degree with a minimum of 10-12 years of experience or a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12-14 years ofWyeth offers competitive compensation and benefits programs including stock
