Sr Research Scientist II

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Research Scientist II are to provide GLP and non-GLP bioanalytical support, and to lead/manage/supervise a team of 1 to 3 junior/senior level scientists (BS and/or MS levels). The candidate and his/her team will be responsible for developing and validating bioanalytical assays to support the quantitation of compound(s) in biological matrices, and to support bioanalyses of nonclinical PK, TK and clinical studies. The Senior Research Scientist II is also responsible for the preparation of laboratory operating procedures and study reports (validation, PK, TK and clinical bioanalysis) either independent or in collaboration with other PK scientists.The candidate must have in-depth experience in quantitative LC/MS/MS and/or GC/MS/MS analysis, GLP, and skills in LC/MS and/or GC/MS method development, maintenance and troubleshooting of LC and MS systems, including but not limited to Sciex API4000/3000/2000 and Thermo TSQ/Quantum systems. Candidate is required to have good written and oral communication skills, as well as problem solving skills. Must be able to work in a team environment. Supervisory experience (1 to 2 year) is preferred. Working knowledge in drug metabolism, sample automation, or pharmaceutical drug development is also desirable. This position requires a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Sciences, or a related scientific discipline plus at least 2 years of industry and/or related experience.
