We currently have an opening in our Chemical Development Department for a Senior Research Chemist, at our Pearl River, NY facility (located on the Rockland County, NY/Bergen County, NJ border).Design and prepare radiolabelled and stable labelled compounds to support Biotransformation and Bioanalytical R&D projects. Present scientific achievement to peers. Collect and archive scientific data collected in Radiolabelling Laboratory. Conduct complex organic synthesis experiments with the goal of incorporating radioactive and/or stable isotopes into new chemical entities. Read and understand the scientific literature, as proven by translation of the information into novel experiments. Present results of independent experiments to scientific peers. Demonstrate special skills and knowledge in a particular research project as evidenced by proven success at the laboratory bench. Satisfactorily completes all cGMP, GLP and/or safety training as applicable to job requirements. Where applicable, performs job responsibilities in compliance with cGMP, GLP and all other regulatory agency requirements. Demonstrate safe use and handling of radioisotopes as defined by the site Radiation Safety Committee and the New York State Dept. of Labor.Ph.D. Completion of advance study in Organic Chemistry at lease 2 years past undergraduate education.Wyeth offers competitive compensation and benefits programs including stock
