Senior Research Scientist

Purpose: An innovative company in Edgewood, MD is looking for a Senior Researcher.
The candidate will perform the following roles:

* Planning, scheduling, executing RDS studies

* Research Dilute Solutions and/or Chemical Agents experienced with in vitro and in vivo animal handling/manipulation experience

* Possesses minimum background check

* Maintain CRF IAW GLP-like standards

* Research Dilute Solutions experience with rodents

* Ability to maintain Research Dilute Solutions standards/training in accordance with ICD S3

* Assists Project Coordinator in other project activities

* Manage and provide leadership to the team to ensure all deliverables are produced timely, accurately and within budget

* Principal technical/program point of contact

* Maintain close contact with the Collaborative Research Facility Director at all times and be available on short notice to handle urgent requests

* Work with Project Coordinator for planning, scheduling, executing Research Dilute Solutions studies

Assists in the development of research protocols and exchange of information to facilitate collaborative research studies

Also, the candidate will be responsible for:

Request personnel assignments/reassignments

* Delegate authority as appropriate

* Communicate government?s vision and goals

* Conduct studies in accordance with GLP-like standards

* Ensure QA/QC of data

* Review contract deliverables

* Ensure best use of resources

* Meet regularly with Collaborative Research Facility Team

* Approve protocols, methods, SOPs

* Maintain Collaborative Research Facility according to GLP-like standards

* Execute studies and protocols

* Write reports and manage data

* Collect, analyze, report data

* Assists Project Coordinator in external/internal collaborations

* Design/implement in vitro or in vivo studies

* Prepare SOPs, protocols, methods

The candidate must have a PHD in a science related field and have 5 years of experience.
