Senior Fragrance Evaluator

Initiates and directs the development of new fragrances for clients worldwide for all product categories. Acts as a liaison between R&D, Marketing and fragrance suppliers. Assists manager by providing a trained expert fragrance opinion both aesthetically and technically. Works with suppliers on a technical basis and also has the ability to problem solve technical fragrance/product interaction issues and offer resolutions. Coordinates fragrance information in the preparation and execution of presentations.
REQUIREMENTS
BA or BS in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology or industry appropriate degree. Trained technical fragrance smelling expertise. Minimum of 8 years experience. Must successfully pass an olfactive test. Knowledge of perfumery language and fragrance materials required. Cosmetic product development/formulation experience desirable. Ability to shape vision and execute fragrance strategies`. High level of confidence and the ability to make decisions is essential. Strong computer skills. Good presentation skills. Strong team, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Must be flexible and have the ability to use sound judgment in handling unanticipated situations. Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative and the capability to motivate and lead others. Must be able to handle a broad range of responsibilities and work independently. Must have extensive knowledge of the competitive fragrance environment in personal/cosmetic products. Knowledge of Avon portfolio a plus.
