Takes exceptional care of people by coordinating CSPD with Perioperative Services in order to provide quality, cost effective decontamination, sterilization, and distribution services with attention to workflow patterns and staff direction. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory standards and departmental policies and procedures. Specializes in at least one Surgery Clinical Practice service area, serving as liaison between Surgery and CSPD. Performs a variety of Sterile Processing functions such as decontamination, preparation, distribution, maintenance and control of sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment as well as problem solving equipment failures to fill customer requests and needs. Champions pro-active employee relations, managing conflict and/or change towards a productive outcomes. Builds collaborative teams that strive for continuous improvement and business results that meet/exceed every customer's expectation. Promotes the safety and well-being of all contacts within department.
