Research Supervisor

Division#: 22-0003Division Name: TX Integrated Eligibility and Enrollment ServicesJob Responsibilities: Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Research department. Services as the content knowledge expert concerning the review of research and appeal cases. Works closely with the Research Specialists in assisting with resolving difficult and complex cases. Processes correspondence, inquiries, complaints, appeals, and requests for fair hearings in an accurate and timely manner. Works closely with the operations-related divisions to investigate issues raised by clients in their correspondence, appeals and requests for fair hearing. Tracks and documents all research and appeals. Provides the Research Manager with updates of all activities and issues regarding research. Monitor the quality of service provided and productivity goals are met. Monitor and evaluates staff performance and conducts performance evaluations as required. Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or related years experience. Three years of experience preferably in health, social service or insurance field. Experience handling inquires, complaints and appeals; experience in eligibility determination or a related field. Computer literacy; effective problem solving skill; excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment. Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously. Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently. Knowledge and work experience with State programs (i.e. CHIP, TANF, Food Stamps, Medicaid or LTC) is preferred.
