Research Quality Control Specialist

By combining your talent and our strengths, we can acheive great results.This is a newly created, officer-level role (seasoned AD, or D) with the mandate to ensure the accuracy of required regulatory disclosures and disclaimers in equity research product, and to undertake other risk-control projects within research operations. This is a challenging role that will bring high visibility with senior management in equity research. Candidate will perform a range of quality assurance checks following scripts created by regulatory business analysts, and will oversee the work of others located in different regions to do the same. The QA checks will span the ‘lifecycle’ of disclosures, including checks from source data feeds, insertion of disclosures into research, and correct display of disclosures on all renditions (formats) of research. The role entails regular interaction with a governance committee comprising senior managers, as well as collaborative work with publishing teams, business analysts in equities research and other business areas, legal & compliance officers, and IT. Responsibilities will initially include: --Establish archives of documentation and communication on regulatory matters and QA procedures --Organize meetings, agendas, minutes, draft management updates--Master all QA scripts and procedures--Perform QA checks--Presenting regular updates to interested partiesThe role may be expanded to include other projects within research operations that address risk control.Preferred Qualifications:Experience managing teams is also helpful, as is experience in project management and applications testing. Requires strong skills in Excel, Powerpoint, business writing and presentation. Basic Qualifications:Ideal candidate will be very detail-oriented and careful, with superior organizational and record-keeping skills. A track record of strong interpersonal and business communication skills is also essential given the business-critical nature of the role.
