Research & Development Category Associate-Personal Care

Our client is a $7 billion global leader in consumer packaged goods and the world’s No.1 Company in household cleaning products, (excluding laundry detergents) as well as a global leader in health and personal care.

This R&D Category Associate position within the Personal Care Group is responsible for the development of Germ Protection Personal Care products – hand wash, bar soaps, shower foam, deodorants & antiperspirants, shampoos - according to global business opportunities and objectives from ideation through to launch.

R&D Category Manager – Personal Care

POSITION DUTIES:
•Lead R&D formulation activities according to Objectives, Success Criteria and Milestone Plans agreed in the Development Brief.
•Develop solutions to technical problems.
•Develop formulations to deliver unique product claims and performance
•Develop and file Intellectual Property
•Design experimental studies and conduct statistical evaluations of results.
•Assist in the development of test methods for formulation analysis.
•Coordinate required testing and development activities with technical support groups.
•Maintain detailed records of experiments performed and results obtained in a laboratory notebook or other logging system as appropriate.
•Become familiar with the standard industry methodologies and technologies.
•Communicate findings to group and team members.
•Maintain laboratory facilities, equipment, raw materials, reagents, product and competitive product inventory, and MSD files required for product formulation, evaluation and testing.
•Keep informed about global and local regulatory constraints and procedures (e.g. VOC’s EPA, etc.)
•Prepare and present information in a clear and concise manner to both internal and external audiences.
REQUIREMENTS
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

•Bachelor degree in Chemistry or related sciences and at least 4 years relevant experience
