Research Associate (Formulations)

Purpose: We are always in need of: Research Associate We are seeking an analytical chemist with 1-3 years of prior experience to assist with solubility, stability determination and dissolution studies. This is a laboratory-based position at the interface between our drug discovery and development activities. You will participate in pre-formulation and formulation studies to support the development of clinical dosage forms.

Responsibilities:
-Prepare small-scale formulations for oral and pretrial dosage forms of novel compounds to support in vivo PK, TK, and pharmacological studies.
-Provide pre-formulation support for discovery and development activities, including evaluation of physico-chemical properties of small molecules, pH-solubility and pH-stability profiles, pKa, partition coefficients, polymorphism, solid and solution state stability studies, etc.
-Conduct drug-excipient compatibility studies and other relevant studies to support the development of formulation prototypes.
-Characterize crystalline behavior of drug candidate.
-Perform other related activities as assigned.

Qualifications:
-BS/MS in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related discipline with 1-3 years of industry experience in pre-formulation and formulation development.
-Experience in stability-indicating method development and solubility determination desirable.
-Prior working experience with Agilent 1100 HPLC systems is preferred.Classification:Contract-to-HireCompensation:
