Research Associate/Associate Scientist

Purpose: Our client in Gaithersburg, MD is looking for a Research Associate for a 10 week assignment.

Position Title: Research Associate/Associate Scientist

Position Description:

The primary duties will involve the development of ELISA assays used to monitor products in clinical trials.

Duties will involve buffer preparation, performing serial dilutions, and assessing assay performance. The candidate should also be able to evaluate test results and plan a course of action based on the results.

The candidate must be able to work from existing SOP?s and assist with the maintenance of accurate reagent databases.

The candidate must have the ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

This position will involve working with human serum samples using BL1 and BL2 laboratory procedures.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in biology, immunology, pharmacology or related discipline with 3-5 years relevant working experience.

Past experience running ELISAs, maintaining a laboratory notebook, aseptic techniques, and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel. The candidate must possess the technical proficiency to reproduce his/her own work as well as that of other individuals. Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to work as a team member are needed.
