Research Associate

Purpose: Research Associate A Biology Research Associate with 5+ years drug discovery experience to support drug screen and mechanism studies. The individual will responsible for routine compound testing, data processing, and data management. Other responsibilities will include cell culture maintenance, compounds handling, and protein and antibody production/purification. In addition, s/he is a part of the biology team to perform biochemical and cell based studies to elucidate mechanism of inhibitors. The person is expected to help co-workers in lab maintenance.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess a BS or MS degree in biochemistry, cell biology, or a related biology discipline. Hands-on experiences with compound screening using biochemical and cell based assays are critical. Proven skills in cell culture, molecular cloning, Western blot, real time RT-PCR, transecting and reporter assays, in vitro assays, cell line development, and basic molecular biology techniques are required. Prior working experience with RNA is a plus. Proficiency in data management and computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and effectiveness in verbal/written communication are essential.Classification:Contract-to-HireCompensation:
