Research Assistant

Basic Functions and Responsibilities: **Exempt**Educational Testing Service has an opening for a Research Assistant position in the Foundational and Validity Research area, part of the Research Division. This area investigates the validity of ETS assessments, validity-related issues of concern to the higher education community, and the use and development of non-cognitive assessments. The successful candidate will primarily provide support to projects involving Program Evaluation of ETS developed products and services by assisting in all phases of research projects, including research design, project management, data collection and analysis. He or she will also collaborate with researchers in preparing study results for publication or presentation, including literature searches, producing charts and graphs, writing and editing.Collect, organize, code, transfer, and analyze data; Prepare charts, tables, figures, and graphics for reports and presentations.Administer research instruments such as tests, observations, and interviews; Develop coding systems and manuals to translate observations into quantifiable data; assist in developing and refining instruments and techniques for research projects.Conduct literature searches and prepare annotated bibliographies; Edit and proofread research reports and proposals; write up study results.Assist in arranging seminars and workshops; Recruit, contact, and select potential research subjects; Schedule meetings with school administrators, research subjects, and outside groups.Apply Info: Internal:Please send cover letter and resume to [Click here for email]. REQUIREMENTS
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Psychology (Social, Organizational, Industrial, Clinical) or Education, or a closely related field. Coursework in research methodology, program evaluation and statistics is necessary along with knowledge of psychometrics. Experience with SPSS, Excel and/or Access is a plus.
