Research Assistant

Assist senior-level researchers, on an as-needed basis,
with ongoing projects and other responsibilities. Areas of responsibility
include general Internet queries and electronic literature
searches. Conduct literature reviews.
Prepare tables for reports: preparation and analysis of tabular data,
database development, and proposal development and design
Produce first-cut PowerPoint presentation materials for sales
presentations and client deliverables
Conduct library and Web site research, using online databases such as
MEDLINE and DIALOG
Conduct library searches
Prepare documents and manuscripts
Communicate with employers
REQUIREMENTS
Completion of a degree in the social or behavioral
sciences, preferably with an emphasis in health care or health policy.
Degree programs could include but are not limited to economics,
biostatistics, sociology, psychology, or public health.
Familiarity with research design and analysis.
Ability to read and synthesize material from the literature.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
Experience with word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (EXCEL),
graphics (PowerPoint or Harvard Graphics), and some familiarity with
statistical software such as SAS or STATA.
